Windows 10 still has a lot of problems. And some of them showed up after installing fresh updates. According to profile resources, a couple of weeks ago, Microsoft released cumulative updates as part of the traditional monthly “Patch Tuesday” update. But after the installation, the “blue screens of death” began.
Users reported that problems arose after they installed updates KB4598299 and KB4598301 for OS versions 20H2, 2004 and 1909. In addition to BSoDs and cyclic reboots, numerous application crashes were also reported. At the same time, everything started working after removing the last OS update.
The problems affected, in particular, Visual Studio, Windows Presentation Foundation and some other programs. The company has already confirmed the presence of problems with KB4598301 and said that they are preparing a patch. But the release date has not yet been specified.
It is recommended not to install updates KB4598299 and KB4598301, or to uninstall them if problems arise. It looks like Microsoft is doing worse development than CDPR with Cyberpunk 2077.
