Foxconn, which does contract manufacturing for Apple, has also started assembling the iPhone 14 series at its Chennai plant. Now Apple analyst Ming Chi Kuo has claimed that Apple is planning to reduce its dependence on China. The analyst also disclosed important findings from the supply chain survey. He wrote in a tweet that Apple is going to shift a large part of its iPhone manufacturing to India and the production and assembly of MacBook is going to be taken to Thailand.
According to Apple analyst Ming Chi Kuo, Apple plans to export the iPhone made in India globally and the company is preparing to partner with the Tata Group for the iPhone assembly business. Taiwanese electronics manufacturers Pegatron and Wistron may also be involved in this partnership.

Recently, there were also reports of talks between Tata Group and Wistron Corp regarding the manufacturing of iPhone in India. China produces 230 million iPhones annually, while only 3 million are being manufactured in India. On the other hand, if we talk about iPhone exports from India, till April 2022, more than one billion dollars of iPhones have been exported from India.
