Blue Diamond Auction: The auction of a blue diamond is estimated to be Rs 359 crore. It is being said that this could be the biggest auction of Blue Diamond ever. This blue diamond which is known as De Beers Cullinan Blue is of 15.10 Carat.

According to the report, this extremely rare blue diamond will be put up for auction by fine arts company Sotheby’s at Hong Kong Luxury Week Sales in April. Its price has been estimated at $ 48 million (Rs 359 crore).

Asia Head of Sotheby’s said- ‘Blue diamonds of any kind are rare in the market, but this diamond (De Beers Cullinan Blue) is the rarest of the rare.’

The diamond was first discovered in April 2021 at the Cullinan mine in South Africa, one of the world’s rarest places for the discovery of rare blue gems. Currently, Sotheby’s is set to auction the De Beers Cullinan Blue Diamond during its Hong Kong Luxury Week sale in April.

Step-cut of 15.10 carats, this diamond is the largest and brightest blue diamond ever to be displayed at auction. The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) has described it as the largest intrinsically flawless step-cut fiery blue diamond ever discovered.

According to Sotheby’s, only five diamonds over 10 carats have come to auction so far, none of which were over 15 carats. But the De Beers Cullinan Blue Diamond is very special in itself. It is of 15.10 Carat Diamond.
