Voting for the post of Congress President will be held on Monday. For this, a total of 68 booths have been set up at 40 centers across the country.
Around 9,800 voters will cast their vote for either Shashi Tharoor and Mallikarjun Kharge at these polling stations.
The process of voting will run from 10 am to 4 pm. The results will be announced on Wednesday, October 19 at the party headquarters at Akbar Road, Delhi.
The specialty of this election is that for the first time in the last 22 years, there has been a situation of voting in the election of the President.
The special feature of this polling is that a polling station has also been set up in India’s visit under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi.
On Sunday evening, the chairman of the party’s Central Election Authority, Madhusudan Mistry, issued guidelines to the voters.
He has said, “The ballot paper will contain the names of two candidates. Voters are instructed to put ‘tick’ in the box in front of the preferred candidate. Any other mark or number other than this will make the vote invalid.”
What do Kharge and Tharoor have to say?
According to PTI, Mallikarjun Kharge has said that if he becomes the president, he will have no hesitation in taking the advice and support of the Gandhi family in running the party.
On the other hand, Shashi Tharoor said in Lucknow, “Kharge sahib is a senior leader, if he wins, we will all cooperate and work with him. Party is our home and family.
