CBSE Exams 2022: 10th and 12th Term-1 Exam Will Be Held in November-December, CBSE Released Datesheet

CBSE Board Exams 2022: Usually the date sheet is released in December but this time due to the two parts of the board exam, it has been released in October itself.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the dates for the 10th and 12th term-1 examinations. The 10th exam will start on 30th November while the 12th exam will start from 1st December. The 12th examination will end on 22 December while the 10th class will end on 11 December.  According to the information given by CBSE’s controller of examinations Sanyam Bhardwaj, on the first day of the 10th examination, there will be social science paper, while the science on December 2, home science on December 3, Mathematics Standard on December 4, and Mathematics Basic, the computer on December 8, 9. Hindi courses A and B will be held in December and the English language and literature examination will be held on December 11. According to Bhardwaj, apart from these main subjects, the exam dates of other minor subjects will be sent directly to the schools. Their examination will be held from November 17.

On the first day of the 12th examination i.e. Sociology on 1st December, English Core on 3rd, Mathematics on 6th, Physical Education on 7th, Business Studies on 8th, Geography on 9th, Physics on 10th, Psychology on 11th, Accountancy on 13th, on 14th. There will be Chemistry, 15 on Economics, 16 on Hindi Elective and Core, 17 on Political Science, 18 on Biology, 20 on History, 21 on Informatics Practice and Computer, and on 22 December Home Science.

The exam time for each paper will be one and a half hours. In view of the cold weather, the exam will start at 11.30 am. The exam dates for other minor subjects will be sent directly to the schools and their exams will be held from November 16.

What will be the Exam Pattern  

Term-1 Exam Pattern

  • The questions will be objective-type questions from case and reasoning. 
  • The maximum number of marks will be 50.
  • The time limit of the exam will be 90 minutes. 
  • Questions will be asked from half of the syllabus.  
Term-2 Exam Pattern
  • Both written (descriptive) and multiple-choice (objective) questions will be asked. 
  • The maximum number of marks will be 50.
  • The time limit of the exam will be 90 minutes.
