In the crash test of Global NCAP, both these cars have proved to be tremendous in terms of safety. In the Indian market, they compete with the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.
The safety of the Volkswagen Taigun is great
The Volkswagen Taigun, a premium car in the compact SUV category, has got a 5 star rating in the GNCAP crash test. The car was checked on parameters like front and back collision, side collision, electronic stability control and pedestrian protection. This car of the company has got the top safety rating for both adult and child rider categories.
Skoda Kushaq is built on the same platform
The Skoda Kushaq is truly the sister model of the Volkswagen Taigun. Both the cars are based on the same platform MBQ A0 IN. This platform has been designed by Das Auto keeping in mind the Indian market. In such a situation, Skoda Kushaq has also got a 5 star safety rating in this test.
Test done for India
Both these cars have been crash tested by GNCAP for the Safer Cars for India campaign. Under this campaign, Global NCAP conducts safety tests on cars that are available in the Indian market. According to GNCAP, the neck and head of the driver as well as the passenger get good protection during a collision in both the cars. At the same time, the chest of both also gets adequate protection.
Compete with Creta and Seltos
In the Indian market, these cars of Volkswagen and Skoda compete with the Creta and Seltos. Both these cars are very popular in the compact segment. However, in the safety rating of 2022, both these cars have got 3 star safety rating.
