Harmanpreet Kaur Makes A Big Record In Women Asia Cup Final, Becomes Most Capped T20 Player

Asia Cup 2022: Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur has achieved another feat by setting a new record, beating New Zealand all-rounder Suzy Bates. She has become the most capped T20 player in the history of the game in T20 format. The 33-year-old played his 137th match in the Asia Cup final against Sri Lanka at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Bangladesh on Saturday.

Harmanpreet equaled Bates’ record by playing her 136th T20I against Thailand in the semi-finals of the Asia Cup. New Zealand’s player is now second in this list with 136 matches in T20Is. Bates has so far scored 3613 runs with a century.

England’s Danielle Wyatt is at third place in this list with 135 T20 matches. He has scored 2159 runs with two centuries. His highest score is 124 runs.

In terms of most matches, Australia’s Alyssa Healy has won the fourth spot with 132 T20Is. He has scored 2207 runs with the highest score of 148 runs.

Deandra Dottin is in fifth place with 127 matches for West Indies. He has scored 2697 runs for West Indies with the highest score of 124. Dottin has two T20 International hundreds to his name.

The veteran Indian all-rounder made his debut in the shorter format of the game for India in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup against England on 11 June 2009.

Known for her huge sixes and explosive innings, Harmanpreet Kaur Stats has had a stellar career in the T20I format. He has scored 2,683 runs in 122 innings at an average of 27.37, with one century and eight half-centuries to his name.

She was the first Indian woman to score a century in T20. She played a brilliant innings of 103 runs in 51 balls against New Zealand in the 2018 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup. In which India won 34 runs against Kiwi team.

The fast-paced batsman led the Indian team to the seventh Asia Cup title against Sri Lanka on Saturday.
