HPU Shimla: Offline Classes May Start From Next Week, Students Are Advised to Apply Kovid Vaccine

By Monday, the university can officially give a decision on starting offline classes. Before starting the classes, the university will also have to take a decision on opening the hostels of the university for the old students and start the process of allotment of hostels for the students taking admission in the new first semester.

Most of the departments like Computer Science, Institute of Vocational Studies of the university have issued instructions to the students to get the corona vaccine before the start of offline classes. In the coming week itself, the university can start offline classes. In the coming week itself, preparations are being made to call a meeting under the chairmanship of DS of the university to start offline classes.

In the calendar of the new academic session released for all universities, the UGC had asked to start classes from October 1 by completing the process of admission in PG in any case by 30 September. Accordingly, the university administration had asked the heads of departments to start classes after preparing the outline of the available resources and arrangements. Classes could not start in any department of the university on Friday.

MA Public Administration exam on 16 October 

Himachal Pradesh University has released the new date for the postponed examination of the fourth semester of MA Public Administration. Now, this exam will be held on October 16 from 9 am to 12 noon. Controller of Examinations Dr. JS Negi said that the notification of the new date has been issued on the website of the university for the information of the candidates.

IGNOU extended the date of admission till October 11 

Indira Gandhi Open University has extended the last date for taking admission in UG, PG, degree, and diploma courses in July 2021 session till October 11. IGNOU will give direct admission to the MBA program this time without an entrance exam. For this, the candidate has to have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with 50% marks for the general category and 45% for the reserved category. The admission process will be online through the website of IGNOU. Information in this regard can be obtained from IGNOU Regional Center Khalini Shimla or any IGNOU Study Center.
