Team India will have to win the second ODI of Do or Die on Sunday to save the series against South Africa. If they lose in Ranchi, the Indian team will lose the second consecutive series against South Africa at home. Earlier in 2015, South Africa won the five-match series 3-2 on Indian soil. The Indian team has been able to win the ODI series against South Africa at home for 12 years.
India and South Africa have played 12 bilateral ODI series so far. Of these, India has won four, while South Africa has won six series. One series ended in a draw and one with no result. India also lost the ODI series in South Africa this year 0-3.
