Indian Army Recruitment 2021: The candidates who have not been successful in the NDA exam, have more opportunities to become an officer in the army, whose complete information is given below.

It is the dream of all the youth to serve the country by joining the Indian Army, but only a few of these youth reach this stage. Most of the youth appears in the National Defense Academy (NDA) entrance exam for recruitment in the army. Candidates appear after the 12th in the NDA entrance exam. The number of candidates appearing in this examination is around 4 lakhs, but out of these only 400 candidates are selected. However, the candidates who have not been able to clear the NDA exam, have more opportunities to become an officer in the army, whose complete information is given below. 

You can also appear in these exams to join the army:
CDS exam:  If you want to become an officer in the army after graduation, then you can appear in the Combined Defense Services (CDS) exam. This exam is conducted twice a year. To join the Indian Military Academy (IMA) through the CDA exam, candidates must be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized university. On the other hand, a bachelor’s degree in engineering is necessary for the Navy, while for the examination of Airforce Academy, it is necessary to graduate in class XII with maths and physics.

TES Exam (10+2):  If you want to join the Indian Army after the 12th class then you can apply for the 10+2 Technical Entry Scheme (TES). Students who have passed the 10+2 (12th) examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects can apply for the 10+2 Technical Entry Scheme.

TES Exam (Graduate): If you are an engineering student, you can become an officer in the army through the Indian Army Technical Entry for Engineer. To appear in this exam, candidates must have an engineering degree from a recognized institute.

Other Recruitment: Apart from the above-mentioned entrance exam, the Army also admits candidates to the Indian Army through Short Service Commission (SSC) and Territorial Army examinations. Army releases information for these recruitments from time to time on its official website.
