According to the official notification issued for this recruitment, unmarried female and male candidates can apply for these posts. The application process for these posts has started on 5 October 2021 and interested candidates can apply till 3 November 2021. Special opportunity for youth who have done NCC:
This special recruitment is for candidates having NCC ‘C’ certificate. Actually, the NCC Special Entry 51st Course of Army SSC (Short Service Commission) is going to start from April 2022 and Army has sought applications for the same. Only unmarried men and unmarried women can apply for these posts. According to the official notification, 50 posts are for men and 5 posts are for women.
These qualifications are necessary to apply:
Candidates of 19 to 25 years (age will be calculated from January 1, 2022) can apply for these posts. To apply, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree with 50% marks from any recognized university. Apart from this, the candidate should have served in NCC for a minimum of 2-3 years in NCC Senior Division/Wing and should have at least a B grade in NCC ‘C’ certificate examination. Candidates can check more details regarding these qualifications in the notification.
After the selection of these posts, candidates will be sent for training at OTA Chennai for 49 months. After this, service will be taken in the probation period for the first 6 months after getting the commission. A candidate selected by the Short Service Commission will be appointed for 10 years’ service and the service may be extended by another 4 years for candidates willing to render more service.

The candidates who are selected for these posts will get a very attractive salary. During the period of the training period, candidates will get Rs 56,100 as a stipend per month. After the completion of the training period, the candidates will be commissioned in the rank of lieutenant in the Indian Army and during this time they will get a salary of Rs 56,100 to 1,77,500. Candidates will also get promotions at regular intervals and their salaries will also increase.
