Kaun Banega Crorepati 14 Update: The 14th season of the TV reality show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ is in the news. Contestants are coming to the show every day and winning a big amount and taking them home. Till now there are many contestants, who have won lakhs of money on the strength of their knowledge. So far only one contestant has become a millionaire in the season. Recently, there came a contestant who was being called the second crorepati, but he missed out on becoming a millionaire with a wrong answer.
In the last episode of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 14’, the rollover contestant was Shashwat Goyal, who played the game in Monday’s episode. He came to the show to fulfill his mother’s dream. He played the entire game very well and used his three lifelines very carefully. He used his last lifeline on the question of Rs 75 lakh. He also won Rs 1 crore and became the first contestant to play for Rs 7.5 crore. However, he missed out on becoming a millionaire.
What was the question for Rs 7.5 crore,
After winning Rs 1 crore, Amitabh Bachchan asked Shashwat Goyal for Rs 7.5 crore. He was asked – Which British army was given the motto Primus in India as it was the first troop to be stationed in India?
The options were given, A- 41st (Velve) Regiment of Foot, B- 1st Coldstream Guard, C- 5th Light Infantry, D- 39th Regiment of Foot. The correct answer is- 39th Regiment of Foot.
Couldn’t become a millionaire by giving wrong answers
Shashwat Goyal answered this question as Option A i.e. 41st (Velve) Regiment of Foot, which was wrong. Whereas the correct answer was D i.e. 39th Regiment of Foot. Due to wrong answer, Shashwat Goyal could not win Rs 7.5 crore, he also lost 1 crore that he won. They got only 75 lakh rupees in their hands. Had he won 7.5 crores, he would have won this prize money if he would have been the first millionaire of the season. However, he went home with an amount of Rs 75 lakh.
