In the Mega Auction of IPL 2022, the magic of the players of Rajasthan is speaking loudly. Buyers have shown a lot of interest in the young cricketers here. In this the name of Ashok Sharma of Jaipur is also included. He was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for 55 lakhs. Ashok was born in Rampura village of Jaipur. Ashok has become the favorite player of cricket lovers for a long time due to his deadly bowling.
At this stage today because of the coach and parents
After the selection in the Kolkata Knight Riders team, there is an atmosphere of happiness in Ashok’s house and family. Ashok has left for Kolkata for the practice session of IPL starting from April 2. Earlier, in a conversation with Dainik Bhaskar, Ashok told the important role of coach father and mother for the selection. He said that he had a passion for playing cricket since childhood. But my family has also struggled a lot along with me to fulfill this hobby. My father is a farmer by profession. In such a situation, the financial condition of the family was not very strong. But still my father got me to join the academy for cricket training. Where my coach got my technique changed a lot. The result of that is that today I have been selected in IPL. Ashok said that IPL is the beginning of my career. But my priority is to play for the Indian team.

Illness had bothered
Ashok told that I made a place in Rajasthan Under-19 team in 2019. There was no Under-19 cricket next year because of Corona. Then in 2021 my coach Vivek Yadav passed away. That year I was placed in the under-23 probables. But then he had recovered from dengue. Due to this, Challenger could not give his best in the trophy and failed to make it to the 2021-22 CK Nayudu Trophy squad.
Opportunity got because of Dishant Yagnik
In the midst of all this, Dishant Yagnik, who was a player of Rajasthan Royal, prepared him for the trials of IPL 2022. It was he who sent my bowling video to the IPL franchise. I was then called for trial by KKR and RR. Ashok told that I had not played any first-class or List A cricket till now. But after seeing his performance in the trials, the KKR management got in touch with the BCCI and requested for his name to be included in the auction list. After this my bid increased from the base price and now I will play for KKR in IPL.
In 2017, Ashok’s father got him to join the training academy after watching him play cricket.
mother wanted to get a government job
Jaipur cricketer Ashok Sharma had a tough start. Ashok’s father is a farmer by profession. There his mother is a duodenum. Due to the financial condition of the family, Ashok’s mother wanted to see him doing a government job since childhood. Since childhood, Ashok’s entire focus was on becoming a cricketer. Because of this many times he had to face the scolding of his mother. But he did not let his love for cricket diminish and continued to practice.

Father joined academy in 2017
Ashok’s father Nathu Lal Sharma told that after playing good cricket continuously, Ashok had decided to join the academy. At that time the economic condition was not so strong. But seeing the son’s hard work, I arranged money and got him to join Jaipur Cricket Academy for training in 2017. Since then, Ashok has been continuously improving his game and as a result of that, today he has got a chance to play in IPL. I hope my son will make the country proud not only in IPL but also in Indian team soon.
