NEET PG Counseling 2021: With medical aspirants awaiting the announcement of NEET 2021 counseling dates across India, it is expected that NEET 2021 counseling for admission to various medical colleges across the country will begin soon.
NEET PG Counseling 2021: Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) may start NEET PG 2021 counseling after November 23. The MCC told the Supreme Court of India in October that NEET PG counseling will not begin until it decides on the validity of the implementation of EWS and OBC reservations in All India Quota (AIQ) medical seats. NEET PG counseling for 50% AIQ seats was scheduled to begin from October 25. The matter will come up before the top court on November 23. The hearing was postponed earlier this month.
The matter is being heard by the
apex court on July 29 notification of the Center and Medical Consultative Committee (MCC) to provide 27 per cent reservation to OBC and 10 per cent reservation for EWS category students in all medical seats under the central pool. Hearing challenging petitions.
What MCC’s counsel said
Additional Solicitor General KM Natraj assured the Supreme Court that counseling for NEET PG will not start until the court decides on the validity of the Centre’s decision to introduce OBC and EWS reservations. A bench of Justices DY Chandrachud and BV Nagarathna said that if counseling takes place before the court’s decision, “students will face a serious problem”.
What did the court say?
Justice Chandrachud said that “we will listen to you until the counseling of the students is done. We will accept your point of view that till we decide some way, the counseling is not starting. Otherwise the students will have to get an appointment.” There will be a serious problem…”. Meanwhile, doctors have expressed disappointment over the delay in the counseling process. He has raised his issue on the microblogging website Twitter.
