Advani had made his intentions clear from the very first frame that he would not give any chance to Kothari. In this 150-plus format, Advani took the first frame with a break of 149. Till then Kothari had not even opened the account. Kothari is awaiting his maiden IBSF (International Billiards and Snooker Federation) world title. Pankaj had defeated Praput Chaitnasukan of Thailand 4-0 in the semi-finals.
After the win, Advani said defending the title for the fifth time in a row was a dream come true. I am really happy with the way I played and the way I won every billiards tournament this year. I am honored to have won another gold medal for my country at the world level.
