Under-19 team stars Yash Dhul and Raj Angad Bawa have made a great start to their first-class careers in the Ranji Trophy tournament. Raj Bawa took a wicket on his very first ball in his Ranji Trophy debut. Playing for Chandigarh in Cuttack, he took the wicket of captain Tanmay Agarwal against Hyderabad. On the other hand, Yash Dhul, who came for Delhi against Tamil Nadu in Guwahati, scored a century in his debut innings.

In the final of the Under-19 World Cup, Raj Angad Bawa took 5 wickets and scored 35 runs. Raj Bawa got Tanmay Agarwal caught behind by Arijit Singh behind the wicket and Akshat Reddy was also caught behind the wicket and sent back to the pavilion. Along with this, Raj Bawa is in the list of players who took wickets on the very first ball of his Ranji Trophy career.

Before all-rounder Raj Angad Bawa, Rajasthan batsman Yash Kothari had a wicket in the first ball of his Ranji Trophy career against Andhra Pradesh in Jaipur in 2020. In this list, Uday Joshi (in Saurashtra, 1965), Ravindra Chadha (in Punjab, 1967), Raju Mukherjee (in Bengal, 1973) and TA Shekhar (in Tamil Nadu, 1980) had achieved this position. Apart from all-rounder Raj Angad Bawa, the captain of the Under-19 team Yash Dhul also started his career with a century. Yash played an innings of 113 runs against Tamil Nadu. He hit 18 fours in his innings.
