After a break of one season, the Ranji Trophy tournament has returned. The Ranji Trophy season for the year 2020-21 was canceled due to Corona infection. Yash Dhul, the captain of the team that led the Indian team to victory in the Under-19 World Cup, has started his Ranji Trophy career with a bang. He entered domestic cricket by playing a century against Tamil Nadu.
On the first day of the return of Ranji Trophy after a break of one year, the performance of the Under-19 players is being seen. Raj Angad Bawa took the wicket on his very first ball. At the same time, U-19 captain Yash Dhul, while playing for Delhi in Guwahati, scored a century (113 runs) in his first-class debut match itself.

When he was 3 runs away from the century, then he also got a lifesaver. On 97, he played a pull shot which was caught by the fielder, but after proving to be a no ball in replays, he got a chance to complete his maiden century.
Yash Dhul, making his debut for Delhi, started his Ranji Trophy career with a century against Tamil Nadu. Yash completed his century in 133 balls against Tamil Nadu. He hit 16 fours during his century innings. Yash Dhul came in to open the innings for Delhi along with Dhruv Shorey.
Delhi’s start was very bad, Dhruv Shorey (1) and Himmat Singh (0) returned to the pavilion in the first 3 overs. After this, Yash handled Delhi’s innings by playing a counter-attacking innings together with Nitish Rana. After the third wicket, he has made a century partnership with Jonty Sidhu for the fourth wicket.
Playing for Chandigarh, Raj Angad Bawa has so far taken 2 wickets, he took the wicket on the very first ball of his first class cricket. He took the wicket of Hyderabad captain Tanmay Agarwal. Then in his third over, he also took the wicket of veteran Hyderabad player Akshat Reddy. Raj Angad Bawa took 5 wickets in the Under-19 World Cup final match and played an unbeaten 35 runs.
This year also there was doubt about the Ranji Trophy tournament, but after the third wave of Corona, the BCCI has decided to organize the most important tournament of Indian cricket. This tournament was to start from January 13, but due to the third wave of Corona, it was canceled indefinitely.
It is being organized in two phases following the demand of many state organizations and former players. Thursday 17th February is the first day of this season
