Tech Desk. Poco M4 Pro 5G is a rebranded version of Redmi Note 11T 5G. The Redmi phone was launched in November last year. Design of Poco M4 Pro

Let’s start with the exterior of Poco M4 Pro. The most important thing about Poco M4 Pro is its design. The back of the M4 Pro is frosted. It is soft to touch and there is definitely a fingerprint material used. That is, when you hold the phone in your hand, there are no fingerprints on the back side of your phone. The camera cut-out is the same as that of the Redmi Note 11T but Poco has opted for a bold contrast outline. In all three color options, this is Fox Camera Island with Poco written on it. Poco Yellow color has the highest contrast. The frame around the screen and the back panel are color matched. The material feels plastic, the back panel is also plastic. It doesn’t feel premium at all. The 8.8mm thickness feels heavy in your hand.

Poco M4 Pro 5G Key Display

The phone has a 6.6-inch FullHD + display. It gets 90Hz refresh rate and comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The device’s refresh rate is at 60Hz by default. User has to switch to 90Hz option for best experience. The touch sampling rate of 240Hz is good for gaming sessions. The display is bright enough for indoor use but on sunny days you may squeeze your eyes to see the display. There is a slight blur when you tilt the phone.

Poco M4 Pro 5G smartphone performance

The initial performance of the phone seems fine. Increasing up to 90Hz makes the UI feel faster. MediaTek Dimension 810 was used in the device. The Geekbench benchmark test yielded a score of 591 for single-core and 1772 for multi-core. We didn’t face any issues in our experience with the device. Poco gives the device up to 8GB of permanent RAM, which can be expanded up to 11GB using the Virtual RAM option. UFS 2.2 storage is available in the phone.

Poco M4 Pro 5G Battery

In the short amount of time we had the device running at 60Hz refresh rate and standby time was pretty decent. The 5000mAh battery can easily last a day and more with normal usage. The device comes with support for 33W fast charging. A 33W charger is also provided in the box.

Poco M4 Pro 5G Camera

Poco has opted for a dual-camera setup in the M4 Pro. The M4 Pro has a 50 megapixel lens. Photos come out clear and clear in well-lit conditions. However, with more complex and low-light shots, the camera reduces the quality a lot to avoid noise. As far as color accuracy is concerned, the camera of Poco M4 Pro seems to be inclined towards cool tones. The front-facing 16-megapixel camera does a good job of capturing highlights and details without making the skin too greasy.

Is Poco M4 Pro 5G smartphone a good option?

Poco M4 Pro has entered the Rs 15,000 price segment which is easily the most popular price segment in India. While the phone is similar to the Redmi Note 11T, the software feel and design make it look upgraded from its slightly older phone. The lower entry price than the Note 11T can also make it a better option.
