The result of CBT 1 conducted for recruitment to 35,277 posts of Non-Technical Popular Category (NTPC) in Indian Railways is likely to be released soon. The first phase examination for this recruitment was conducted in 7 phases and the last phase examination ended on 31 July. The answer key of this exam has also been released.  Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) had invited applications for this recruitment in March 2019 itself. About 1.25 crore candidates have appeared in this examination conducted for recruitment to 35,277 posts. Out of these candidates, the candidates who are successful in the first stage examination will have to appear in the second stage examination.

However, no official information has been released in this regard yet. So candidates must keep an eye on the official website for information regarding the results of CBT 1. It is noteworthy that after the declaration of results, candidates can check the same on the official website of RRB or the website of their zone with the help of registration numbers and other details. 

How much can be the cut-off score? 
As many as 1.25 crore candidates are expected to appear in the first phase of the NTPC recruitment exam. So at the same time, Railways is going to give a chance to about 7 lakh candidates to appear in the second phase examination. In such a situation, the Railways will weed out a lot of candidates in the first stage examination, so this time the cut-off may be slightly higher. Based on the number of candidates appearing in the first stage examination and the number of vacancies, it is being estimated that the overall cut-off score of the general category candidates can be 82. Apart from this, the cut-off score of OBC category candidates can be 79, SC category candidates cut off score 73, and ST category candidates cut off score can be 64.
