Russia Ukraine Crisis: In the Russo-Ukraine war, Ukrainian security forces have once again taken control of five settlements in southern Kherson by snatching them from Russian occupation. These regions include Novosilivka, Novoharihorivka, Nova Kamianka, Trifonivka and Chervon. Earlier, angered by the increasing speed of the Ukrainian military, Russia hit 30 percent of Ukraine’s power plants in two days with a series of missile attacks, leading to a blackout-like situation in the country.
Ukraine’s Southern Command spokesman Vladislav Nazarov confirmed that the five settlements in Berislav district are now fully under Ukrainian control. Here recently the Russian army had taken over. It was told that after being freed from Russian occupation, traces of Russian brutality have been found in many places in the area. They have not been disclosed yet.
On the other hand, Russia has furiously attacked cities in southern and eastern Ukraine with cruise missiles on Wednesday. Russia has also brought Ukraine into a blackout-like state in Monday and Tuesday’s attacks. Ukrainian Energy Minister Herman Halushenko told CNN that countrymen have been urged to stop using household appliances such as ovens and washing machines to save electricity.
External power supply stopped at Zaporizhia nuclear plant
The IAEA, the UN body that monitors nuclear energy, said on Wednesday that the external power supply needed for security systems at Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhya nuclear plant, surrounded by Russian forces, has been cut off for the second time in five days. IAEA Director-General Rafael Grossi said that the nuclear protection equipment at the plant with the help of backup diesel generators is being kept running.
