There have been indications of a possible air strike by the Russian military on Ukraine. This indication has been received from satellite images accessed by Aaj Tak. On Friday evening, US President Joe Biden said that the Russian military is planning to attack Ukraine in the coming week, in the coming days. The Russian military’s target for weeks will be Kiev, the capital of Ukraine. Biden said he was not sure that Russian President Vladimir Putin had made the final decision to strike.
Images posted on Russian social media show the movement of an Airborne Combat Carrier (APC) equipped with a parachute. The BMD-2 APCs seen in the footage can be airlifted by Russian medium military transport aircraft and paradropped using parachutes in quick time.

In satellite images Sukhoi-25 ground attack aircraft as well as helicopters, S-400 air defense systems, UAV units as well as infantry can be seen in Belarus just 50 km from the border with Ukraine.
Sukhoi Su-25 is also known as Frogfoot. It remains the base of Russia’s land assault regiments. Of these, 32 Su-25 jets are clearly visible in the satellite imagery over the Luninets airfield.
The airspace is being protected with an S-400 anti-aircraft missile system which can also be used against targets.
A new helicopter unit with more than 20 helicopters has been deployed near Valuyki, about 27 km east of the border with Ukraine. Local reports suggest that the unit may be supported by new ground camps that are increasingly being established east of Waluyki.
The old airfield on Lake Donuzlav in Crimea has seen the arrival of new helicopter units. This is evident in satellite imagery on February 18. This place is already full of soldiers and equipment.
Satellite imagery indicates the deployment of a new helicopter unit with a battle group consisting of tanks, armored personnel carriers and auxiliary equipment at Millerovo airfield, about 16 km from the Ukrainian border.
The Lydia airfield in northwestern Belarus has seen a massive deployment of new helicopters. According to Maxar, at least 50 helicopters have arrived at this strategic location recently.
Some other accounts state that Oksana Marchenko, the wife of pro-Russian leader Viktor Medvedchuk, has left Ukraine. Medvedchuk is considered a close ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

According to American estimates, the number of Russian troops on the borders has now increased to 1 lakh 90 thousand. Russia is scheduled to conduct another military exercise today which will include the launch of ballistic missiles and cruise missiles.
