FWICE has told Anurag Thakur in the letter that in the year 2018 when Sajid Khan was accused of sexually abusing him during the MeToo movement. Then he was banned for one year. He has served the sentence. This ban was lifted in March 2019. That’s why he should be given permission to do Bigg Boss 16.
Sajid Khan was banned for one year
FWICE has sent the letter in response to the Delhi Commission for Women, in which Swati Maliwal had demanded the removal of Sajid Khan from the show. The Federation has written that the Indian Film and TV Directors Association had received a complaint against Sajid. After this, a one-year ban was imposed on his side. After investigation of POSH i.e. Prevention of Sexual Harassment, the federation also agreed with IFTDA’s point of view.

The Federation says that during this investigation, Sajid had done well. Not only this, Sajid had also accepted the decision of POSH committee. At the time of the ban, his behavior was felt right by everyone, in view of which FWICE removed the ban on Sajid Khan on 14 March 2019. Now Sajid Khan has gone to Bigg Boss to earn his livelihood.

FWICE said that Sajid has gone through the tough trials of POSH committee. He has been humiliated on social media and other public platforms. A person who has completed his sentence and respected the IFTDA’s decision cannot even attempt to do so while serving a sentence for the same charge again. In the letter, it has been said from the Federation that the filmmaker should be allowed to stay in Bigg Boss and no action should be taken against him.
