With the weakening of the outbreak of the global infectious epidemic Kovid-19 i.e. Corona virus across the country, now the schools of children closed in various states have started reopening. In line with the steady decline in the number of COVID-19 cases in Gujarat, the state government has allowed the resumption of physical classes for students of 01 to 05. Schools in the state can start offline classes from November 22. State Education Minister Jitu Vaghani on Sunday said that this will be the first time that students of classes 01 to 05 will attend schools individually since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent imposition of restrictions.
Addressing reporters here, Vaghani said offline teaching for classes I to V would resume on November 22 (Diwali) holidays. Parental permission is required to send their children to schools.

Vaghani said, the SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) is applicable for other classes where offline learning resumes. He said that the state education department would make necessary arrangements to resume classes without any hassle and SOPs would be strictly followed. He said, the schools will make arrangements for the resumption of offline classes (for students of 1 to 5) from tomorrow in consultation with the state government.

Offline classes for classes 06 to 08 in Gujarat had resumed on September 02 with 50 per cent capacity. The government had allowed online classes to continue along with offline classes and made attendance of students optional. In early July, the state government allowed reopening of schools for class 12, colleges and technical institutions in view of a significant drop in new coronavirus cases.

The state health department had said that Gujarat had registered 36 coronavirus positive cases in the last 24 hours before Saturday, taking the total number of infections in the state to 8,27,184. Gujarat was left with 323 active cases till Saturday.
