New Delhi, Online Desk. T20WC 2022: The T20 World Cup ended in the first round of 2022 and now the names of all the teams that will be included in the Super-12 for this World Cup have been revealed. Eight teams had participated in the first tour matches, out of which four teams qualified for the next round i.e. Super-12.
For the qualifying matches, these 8 teams were divided into two groups with Sri Lanka, Netherlands, Namibia and UAE in Group A. Of these, Sri Lanka and Netherlands have reached the Super-12. Whereas Ireland, Scotland, Zimbabwe and West Indies were in Group B, out of which Ireland and Zimbabwe made it to the Super-12.
Super-12 decided for T20 World Cup
A total of 12 teams have made it to the T20 World Cup 2022 Super-12 in which Sri Lanka, Netherlands, Ireland and Zimbabwe confirmed their place in this group through qualifying matches. At the same time, eight teams were already present in the Super-12, in which the teams of Afghanistan, Australia, England and New Zealand were in Group A, while the teams of India, Pakistan, South Africa and Bangladesh were in Group B.
Group A’s six teams-
Afghanistan, Australia, England, New Zealand, Sri Lanka and Ireland.
Group B’s six teams-
Bangladesh, India, Netherlands, Pakistan, South Africa and Zimbabwe.
Let us tell you that a total of 16 teams took part in the T20 World Cup 2022, out of which 12 teams will now go ahead after the first round and will face each other for the title. The main matches of T20 World Cup 2022 will now start from 22 October and the final match will be played on 13 November. The first match will be played between defending champions Australia and New Zealand, while Team India has to play its first match against Pakistan in Melbourne on 23 October. India is now eyeing to win the World Cup title for the second time.
