Tata Motors bags order of 921 electric buses from Bengaluru BMTC tutd

Tata Motors has got a big order for electric buses. Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has placed an order for 921 electric buses to Tata Motors. The company has given information about this. As per the contract, Tata Motors will handle the operation and maintenance of the 12-metre Starbus for 12 years. Tata Motors has been getting orders for the supply of buses from many states even before this. Tata Motors has also received a big order from Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) for the supply of electric buses.

Big need for urban movement

BMTC Managing Director G Satyavati said that buses are essential for clean and sustainable urban movement in Bengaluru. This decision has been taken keeping in mind the needs of the city. He said that BMTC is happy to include electric buses as they are environment friendly. Because of this, they will attract more passengers towards public transport. Tata Motors has got such a big order under Convergence Energy Services Limited.

Bengal Transport Corporation has also placed the order

In the last one month, Tata Motors has got the third largest order from the state governments. Prior to BMTC, Tata Motors has received an order for 1,500 electric buses from Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC). West Bengal Transport Corporation (WBTC) has also placed an order for 1,180 electric buses to Tata Motors.

Better facilities will be available in Tata Starbus

Rohit Srivastava, Vice President, Product Line Buses, Tata Motors said, “We have been at the forefront of developing smart, modern and electric commercial passenger vehicles that meet the mobility needs of the future. We are confident that these eco-friendly electric buses will be beneficial for the residents of Bengaluru. Tata Motors said that ‘Tata Starbus’ is an indigenously made vehicle. It has been designed for a comfortable journey. It will get best-in-class facilities.

According to the company, till date Tata Motors has supplied more than 715 electric buses to several cities in India, which have covered a total distance of over 40 million kilometres.

Shares of Tata Motors

Today there has been a decline in the shares of Tata Motors. Shares of Tata Motors are trading at Rs 482.65, down 0.44 per cent or 2.15 points in early trade. Shares of Tata Motors opened at 486.75 this morning. At the same time, on Thursday, it was closed at Rs 484.
