Before buying a car, now people have started paying a lot of attention to its safety. In such a situation, the safety rating of Global NCAP is considered very important. Under the Global NCAP’s Safer Cars for India campaign, the ratings of cars of many auto companies across the country have been fixed. While the Tata Punch remained at the top of the list till recently, the Tata Nexon was also one of the safest cars.
Now in October 2022, the rating of two such cars present in the Indian market has been revealed, which have achieved the top position in safety. Both these cars have achieved 5-star rating in terms of adult safety as well as child safety.
Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq on top
This week Global NCAP has released the safety ratings of Volkswagen Tigon and Skoda Kushk. Both these cars are based on the same platform and in terms of safety rating, both the cars have got 5-star safety rating.
According to the new protocol, both these cars have been the highest scoring cars in terms of adult safety. At the same time, both these cars have achieved a 5-star rating by scoring the highest in 49 parameters of child safety.
3 Tata vehicles in top-10
Three cars from Tata Motors are included in the top-10 safest cars in the country. Tata Punch is at number three in this list. It has got 5 stars in adult safety and 4 stars in child safety.
Apart from this, Tata Altroz is at number five, Tata Nexon is at number six. Both the cars have got a 5-star rating in adult safety. While their rating in child safety is 4 and 3 stars respectively.
These vehicles are also in top-10
Mahindra XUV300 has been ranked 4th in the list of 10 most safe cars in the country. It has a 5-star rating in adult safety and 4-star in child safety.
Apart from this, the ranking of Mahindra XUV700 is 7. It has got 5-star rating in adult safety and 4-star rating in child safety. The ranking of Honda Jazz has been 8. It holds 4-star rating in adult safety and 3-star rating in child safety.
While the ranking of Toyota Urban Cruiser is 9. Its adult rating is 4-star, child safety is 3-star. Whereas Mahindra Marazzo has a ranking of 10. Its adult rating is 4-star, child safety is 2-star.
Barring Volkswagen Taigun and Skoda Kushaq, all other vehicles are rated based on the old protocol of Global NCAP.
