tech news desk Finnish smartwatch maker Suunto has launched Suunto 9 Peak Pro as its new smartwatch in the market. The smartwatch comes with a 43mm case which is 10.8mm thick and weighs 64 grams. The watch comes with a 1.2-inch display with 240×240-pixel resolution. The exterior of the watch is made of Titanium Grade 5. The company says that the Suunto 9 Peak Pro is powered by a powerful chipset that offers strong battery life and performance. With three battery modes – Performance, Endurance and Tour, the Suunto 9 Peak Pro watch is the company’s longest battery life watch to date. The company claims that the watch lasts for 21 days in regular use, 40 hours in performance mode, 70 hours in endurance mode and 300 hours in tour mode. Its charging speed is also very fast, as the watch can be charged up to 100% in an hour while it can last up to 10 hours in just 10 minutes of charging.


The watch is specifically designed for outdoor activities and therefore supports Beidou, Galileo, Glonass and GPS satellite systems and can connect up to 32 satellites simultaneously for precise location. The watch is waterproof to 100 meters, which means you can easily dive into deep water with the watch. There are 97 sports modes available in the watch. It also has a dedicated snorkeling mode for diving. Health features include blood-oxygen monitoring, heart rate monitoring, 24/7 activity tracking, sleep tracking, and stress and recovery status. The company has introduced this watch in the US in six variants, with stainless steel bezels starting from $ 549 (about 45 thousand rupees). Alternatively, the Suunto 9 Peak Pro with Titanium Bezel is priced at $699 (approximately Rs. 57,000).
