UP SI Examination 2021: Exam dates for UP SI Recruitment may be announced soon. A total of 9534 SI posts are to be filled through this recruitment process being conducted by UPPRPB.
The exam for Sub Inspector (SI) Recruitment 2021 in Uttar Pradesh may be conducted soon. There are 9534 SI posts to be recruited in the state and this recruitment process is being organized by Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB). This recruitment is conducted by UPPRPB is being called the biggest recruitment of SI in the history of UP Police, because before this so many posts of SI had never been recruited simultaneously. For this recruitment of SI, applications were invited between April 1 and June 15.
Regarding the written examination for SI recruitment, it is coming out from various media reports that it may start at the end of October. Although no official information has been released regarding the exam dates yet. So candidates must keep an eye on the official website of UPPRPB for the information related to this exam.
How will the final merit list be prepared
, the candidates who will be included in this recruitment will have to first give the written examination. Candidates who are successful in the written test will have to go through the processes like PET, PST, Document Verification, and Medical Test. However, except for the written examination in this recruitment, all other tests will be of qualifying nature only.

Around 15 lakh candidates are going to participate in this recruitment. So it is possible that two or more candidates may get equal marks. If such a situation arises, UPPRPB will decide the successful candidate on the following grounds: In case of
- Two or more candidates getting an equal number, preference will be given to those candidates who have ‘O’ level certificate in Computer or Territorial Army Must have served for at least 2 years or obtained B certificate of NCC. However, out of the above certificates, candidates who have more than one certificate will also get the benefit of only one certificate.
- If the marks of the candidates remain the same even after this, then the candidate with older age will be given preference.
- If the age of the candidates remains the same, then the candidate whose name appears first in the alphabet will be selected.
