UPSC NDA 2021: Exam Will Be Held Today, Women Will Appear for the First Time, Commission Issued Guidelines

UPSC NDA 2021: UPSC NDA 2021 exam will be conducted tomorrow i.e. on November 14. This exam will be conducted to recruit 400 vacancies in the Indian Armed Forces, i.e. Army, Navy, and Air Force.

National Defense Academy 2021 exam will be conducted by Union Public Service Commission on 14th November. More than 2 lakh female applicants are ready to appear in this exam for the first time. Meanwhile, UPSC has released the exam day guidelines on its official website upsc.gov.in which candidates need to follow.

Candidates should note that this exam is being conducted to recruit 400 posts in the Indian Armed Forces, i.e. Army, Navy, and Air Force. UPSC NDA 2021 will be conducted strictly following the COVID-19 protocol at various exam centers across the country.

This year, there are more than 5 lakh applicants for UPSC NDA 2021 exam, out of which 2 lakh are women. However, the recruitment of female candidates is limited to 120 to 150 at a time. The landmark decision of the Supreme Court of India to include women candidates in the National Defense Academy proves to be a step towards gender equality. Let’s have a look at the exam day guidelines issued by the commission.

UPSC NDA 2021: Guidelines for November 14 Written Exam
  • Candidates are required to present a printout of their e-admit card and a photo identity proof at the allotted venue to appear in the examination.
  • Entry to the examination venue will be closed 10 minutes before the scheduled time. Candidates will have to report by 9:50 AM for the morning session and by 1:50 PM for the afternoon session.
  • Candidates should appear for the examination only at the venue which is mentioned in the e-admit card.
  • Candidates should use ‘Black Ball Point Pen’ only for filling the Attendance List and OMR Sheet.
  • All candidates must wear face masks and follow the COVID-19 norms of ‘Social Distancing’ and ‘Personal Hygiene’ inside the examination venue.
  • Mobile phones, pen drives, smartwatches, or other electronic items are prohibited inside the examination hall.
